How far can the brand-new Ford F150 Lightning travel?

Ford offered two battery pack options with 230- and 300-mile ranges when it unveiled the Ford F-150 Lightning.

Ford claims that the Ford F-150 Lightning can travel 230 miles on a single normal battery.

or on the XLT or Lariat trims, go up to 320 miles with the included extended-range battery pack.

According to Ford, the Lightning can charge from 15% to 80% on a 150-kW DC fast charger in 41 minutes when using the extended-range battery.

With the 98-kWh standard-range battery, the Lightning goes from 15% to 80% in 44 minutes.

According to Ford, the average residence uses 30 kWh of electricity each day.

The more expensive model extends this to 10 days of emergency energy and can power the entire home for up to three days.Additionally, Ford has incorporated a backup generator into the design of the upcoming F-150 Lightning.
