What Is the Ford F-150 Lightning Battery's Lifespan?
If you choose Ford's Lightning Advanced Range Battery, which has a 131kWh capacity and an incredible 9.6kW of output,
According to the Detroit car giant, you can keep a day's worth of range.
Ford said that using the extended-range Lightning battery, the Lightning can charge from 15% to 80% in 41 minutes using a 150 kWh DC fast charger.
And with the standard-range version, the Lightning increases from 15% to 80% in 44 minutes.
According to Ford, the F-150 Lightning can travel up to 300 miles on its extended-range battery or 230 miles when equipped with the standard-range package.
Using that setup and a battery with a 98 kWh capacity for normal range,
which is plenty for Ford's anticipated 230-mile range in the base F-150 Lightning Pro, Lightning XLT, and Lightning Lariat trims (EPA statistics are pending).
